What Do I Wear to my Class?

Little Dancers: 
  • Clothing: comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. We suggest tights & bodysuit with optional shorts or skirt.

  • Footwear: We suggest ballet shoes or jazz shoes. 

  • Hair: Children with long hair should have it tied back in a bun or pony tail; children with shorter hair should wear a headband to avoid hair in the face which can be distracting for the dancer.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.

 

Little KidSing: 
  • Clothing: all KidSing classes are very active and it is important that students wear clothing that is comfortable and they can move in easily.

  • Footwear: indoor sneakers or jazz shoes.

  • Hair: Children with long hair should have it tied back in a bun or pony tail; children with shorter hair should wear a headband to avoid hair in the face which can be distracting for the dancer.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.


Musical Theatre Classes:
  • Clothing: All KidSing classes are very active and it is important that students wear clothing that is comfortable and they can move in easily.

  • Footwear: Students should wear either indoor sneakers or dance shoes.

  • Hair: Children with long hair should have it tied back in a bun or pony tail; children with shorter hair should wear a headband to avoid hair in the face which can be distracting for the dancer.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.

 

Acro Dance:
  • Clothing: form fitting clothing such as leggings, dance shorts, tank tops, & sports bras. 

  • Footwear: Dance shoes

  • Hair: Children with long hair should have it tied back in a bun or pony tail; children with shorter hair should wear a headband to avoid hair in the face which can be distracting for the dancer.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.

 

 

Acting:
  • Clothing: Students should dress in comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely

  • Hair: Children with long hair may want to have it tied back.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.

 

Vocals:
  • Clothing: Please dress comfortably.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.

 

Hip Hop:
  • Clothing: sweats or baggy pants (no jeans or pajama pants) with comfortable top

  • Footwear: indoor sneakers

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.

 

Dance Competitive and Recreational:
  • Clothing: Clothing that is comfortable to move in bodysuits with tights and dance shorts

  • Footwear: jazz shoes or ballet shoes (may require both at some point)

  • Hair: Dancers with long hair should have it tied back in a bun or pony tail; children with shorter hair should wear a headband to avoid hair in the face which can be distracting for the dancer.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.

 

Ballet:
  • Clothing/Footwear: black bodysuit with pink ballet tights and pink ballet slippers; dancers can wear warm up clothing (chiffon ballet skirt, black shorts, leggings, tank or light t-shirt in solid colours)

  • Hair: If hair is long enough, it should be tied back in a bun.

  • Water: We ask that you send water as the students will get thirsty.
